CAPERS- AOLIAN ISLANDS FROM SICILIA

Salina, among the Aolian Islands of Sicily, has what is considered the perfect terrior for capers.  These small production capers are cultivated in volcanic soil, which imparts a complex mineral rich flavor with delicate floral notes. These delicious capers are hand-harvested and preserved in salt. Use them to add distinctive flavor to fish, seafood, pasta, meats, vegetables, smoked salmon. and of course in the iconic Puttanesca sauce.
